REGISTRATION EXPLAINED

To Register your horse:

  • Simply fill out the Horse Registration form, which can be located on the Forms page.
  • Complete and sign the form - please ensure all details are filled in correctly - including WHR membership number if applicable.
  • Check the current fee in the list below.
  • Post the form, along with 1 photograph for the online studbook and any relevant paperwork to the WCHR or email to info (at) westernhorseregistry.com.

Herda testing is NOT compulsory, however is available:

  • For any horse resulting from a Herda N/Hr breeding.
  • Untested aged horses with one Herda N/Hr parent or in their pedigree, if sire and dam are not tested.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Membership:

  • Membership fee's are not applicable member of the Cow Horse Registry.

Registration cont:

  • Any applications for registration must supply an official registration / service certificate from any other breed society or an official Cow Horse Registry Service Certificate, signed by the stallion owner / manager.
  • PAPERWORK DEADLINES:
    • Stallion Returns must be lodged by 30th of March

DNA testing:

  • All breeding stock must be DNA tested prior to progeny being recorded.
  • If your horse is DNA tested with another registry, supply DNA number.
